We have nearly completed rehearsals for our summer concert and are now looking forward to our performance on the afternoon of Saturday 13th June starting 2.30pm in the Winter Gardens at Duthie Park. Admission will be free, but we would appreciate a donation if you like what you here!. The full programme will be: "Suite in F for Strings (Lady Radnor's Suite)" by Hubert Parry; "Moorside Suite by Gustav Holst (arranged for string orchestra by Philip Lane); A Spring Garland by Cecil Amstrong Gibbs and "An English Suite" by Hubert Parry.

Thank you to everyone who played at and attended our Spring Concert on Saturday 21st March. It was a beautiful programme which was very well received by our audience.
We will now take 3 weeks break and return on Tuesday 14th April to start rehearsals for our summer term.
Enjoy the time off and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Our spring concert will take place on Saturday 21st March, featuring local flautist Heather Evans playing Bach's Orchestral Suite No 2.
Other piece will be:
Grieg - Holberg Suite
Armstrong Gibbs - A Spring Garland
Puccini - Crisantemi
Grieg - "Last Spring" from Two Elgiac Melodies
This performance will be given at Fountainhall Church at the Stocket, Aberdeen, starting at 7.30 pm.

Due to the snow and the forecast of more coming over the next few days, the committee has taken the decision to cancel the rehearsal scheduled for Tuesday 6th January and we will therefore resume on Tuesday 13th January. An email to this effect was sent to all members on Sunday 4th.
